Danish startup GameAnalytics has completed a round of Series A funding to the tune of $5.5 million from investors new and old, according to a TechCrunch report. The company, which is best known for offering free analytics services to game developers, is also undergoing a bit of an executive shuffle as cofounder Morten Wulff steps down as CEO, to be replaced by former AOL managing director Luke Aviet. GameAnalytics has also hired on GoViral founder Claus Moseholm and former AOL exec Nick Roveta to serve as CCO and VP of strategic partnerships, respectively. Going forward, the company seems intent on using its newfound funds to expand and begin offering new services to developers — at a price. “Our next goal is to launch various other value adding services that will help game developers get the most out of their games — especially focusing on helping the long tail of massively talented indie developers who are currently not reaching their full commercial potential,” Wulff told TechCrunch. “These new services are currently in the making and will not be free of charge.”
